Bold: fearless before danger, assured, confident, adventurous, and free. Cancer helped me to become a bolder version of myself. I didn’t have a choice about my triple negative breast cancer diagnosis or my BRCA 2 mutation, but I did have a choice about how I handled it, how I operated throughout my treatment and beyond. And you do too.
Facing a cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment can feel devastating, overwhelming, and scary. My purpose is to provide relief and hope by sharing ways to get through the experience with as much comfort and growth as possible.
My first few blog posts focus on finding out about the cancer and navigating treatment. I then shift to reflections on the experience and what I am thinking about and working with today in the hopes that you might relate, feel less alone in your experience, and maybe feel a bit lighter.
About this t-shirt: my husband was dictating a text to a friend. When he said “Amy’s not looking forward to being bald,” Siri changed it to “bold”. That gave him the idea that I could focus on being bold rather than bald and he had this special tee made for me.
