Here are some tried and true products that made life easier during my cancer adventure. These are not affiliate links. In other words, I do not get a kick back:)

The Boob Pillow
This pillow was really comforting to have during the first two weeks after my bilateral mastectomy. I liked being able to protect myself from my well meaning kiddo and small dog.

Drain Holders
These drain holders really helped both in the hospital and at home. They worked better for me than the special shirts with pockets sewn inside because I could wear my own clothes (as long as they were clothes I didn’t have to raise my arms above my head to put on. And bonus–you can wear them in the shower!

Headwrap Scarf
I loved these scarves. I bought four so I could have lots of choices. They are so comfortable, I wore them to bed when my head felt cold. I received many compliments on them.

Hat Wigs
I wore regular wigs sometimes, but this “hat with hair” from Headcovers.com was by far the most comfortable type of wig. I wore it all the time! I would even leave it on at home it was so comfy. Easy to throw on in the morning for kiddo drop off or for an impromptu guest.

Protein Powder with Greens
This protein powder (also in chocolate) tasted good to me throughout chemo and helped me to get plenty of plant protein. I love that is has greens too, especially since salads were off the menu during treatment.

Blender Bottle
When I don’t feel like using the big blender and adding frozen fruit and yogurt to my smoothie (or I am on the go), this blender bottle works well. I like to use the protein powder above and add almond milk and flax oil (helps with regularity).

Good Shampoo For A Bald Head & Beyond
This shampoo felt really good on my bald head (I read it is important to shampoo a hairless head–who knew?!) and it is still great for encouraging nice, think regrowth of my short hair.

Cardani Indelible Eyeliner
I found that a great eyeliner could give the appearance of having eyelashes. This eyeliner I found on Headcovers.com works really well and stays put.

Lotion for Radiation Burns
I was instructed by my radiation oncologist to put this lotion on the skin exposed to radiation twice per day during treatment and for a month after. It worked really well and I did not blister. I’m not sure it was luck or this lotion, but it’s worth a shot.
